Spiral Everyday Life

This piece emerged from my fascination with how our lives spiral through patterns. The central metallic spiral draws you in – I created that texture by manipulating heavy body acrylics with a palette knife, letting the gold shimmer through the silvery surface. The dark chocolate brown background represents the mundane, but see those bursts of blue and coral? Those are those unexpected moments that pierce through our routines.

I wanted the textures to feel almost geological, like time layers compressed into rock. The chaotic elements breaking through the spiral’s rhythm – that’s life interrupting our carefully planned patterns. The metallic elements catch light differently as you move around the piece, making it feel alive, changing – just like our daily experiences.
