Lagom

Lagom means just right or in perfect balance – not too much, not too little. A very Swedish concept about finding the sweet spot in life. I think that with this abstract piece I really captured that spirit. The way the olive green sweeps across, meeting that soft beige – it’s like watching nature find its own balance. The texture feels both deliberate and natural, like waves meeting shore. The composition itself is lagom – not overdone, not sparse, just… right. The colors don’t compete; they complement each other in that perfect middle ground. In Swedish culture, lagom extends beyond just balance – it’s about sustainable moderation, finding contentment in enough. I tried to explore this through its restrained yet rich composition.
