Fluids in Vacuum

My ideas are fluids. First, philosophical thought transforms into an artistic image, and then melts into photography. Ideas have no form of their own, yet they are measurable and have weight. Our society is a vacuum, the space in which you, we, your ideas, our ideas exist. In cosmic space, as the deepest vacuum, there is practically no friction, which is why stars, planets, and other celestial bodies move freely along their ideal gravitational paths. My images don’t interfere with each other, they are not illustrations based on philosophical thoughts, but rather complement each other and reflect my agility.

This exhibition is our visuality, our understanding of life, feelings, everyday life and eternity for everything that a human being can give as a gift for life. Just like every feeling of your own about life, about the beauty of existence, about the bad and the good, about darkness and light. The first artistic element is the Line,... and Colors are first! But, this world is not black and white. If we want to experience it in its entirety, we need to make it in all the colors of the rainbow! In KaliOpi's works, even the black and white shines like a rainbow.

The second solo exhibition confirms Kaliopi Bosilanova as a mature author. Her cycle functions conceptually complex, diverse, yet consistently implemented on several levels. She further softens the gentle painting technique of acrylic with a fine selection of warm colors and transparent motifs, but on the other hand breaks it with wise, ironic comments, which take the form of intellectually concise and gnomically elliptical thoughts.

The second level of complex and thoughtful layer is breaking the unity of the painting into several units, thereby creating a kind of cinematic perception and creating games not only with the formal composition of these picture-parts, pictures within pictures, picture-polylogs, but also with their meaning and symbolism. Despite all the diversity of motifs, anecdotes and compositions, Kaliopi manages to create her own style, concept and approach that she consistently implements throughout the cycle.

About the Exhibition "Fluids in Vacuum" The colorful world of Kaliopi Bosilanova fascinates, fulfills, animates you in a specific and unique way that creates a pleasant warmth, energy and some inner fulfillment in us as viewer(s). The approach itself in these works is consistent, active, it's a concept of convergence (of canvases) and chaotic arrangement, unconventional, asymmetric (anti-geometric). The canvases complement each other, but simultaneously separate (concepts, elements, segments, fragments), fragmenting the parts through an alchemical path... poetic and permanently otherworldly.

Decorative wholes that surprise with their texture, form and way of communication among themselves, but also with the one they address. I carefully examine KaliOpi Bosilanova's upcoming exhibition, mentally walking in front of the canvases, looking again and rejoicing in the development of this young artist. The constructions of frames build a complete picture of the emotionality and moods of the author, which have given birth to ideas and images. The coloring is typical of her sensitivity - soft, pastel and at moments - ringing like a bell.

The young author has left no room for the viewer's hesitation. The texts accompanying the paintings are brief and with clear messages, sometimes teaching, sometimes poetically complementing the image. Sometimes they playfully remind of forgotten truths. I am delighted by this symbiosis of short texts, sometimes quotes, sometimes simply thoughts of the author with the content of the paintings. I almost want to borrow a white feather and fix my wings. A freely floating reflection, frightened flies away and after a moment is back in its place, as if saying: "Look at me again!..."

On another canvas, irises shine with a cold gleam on a heated surface. Won't the boiling red burn them - no, they are intact. Reflections, walking feet, pearls and seashell, bright sunlight, all this passes before the eyes, and the gaze returns again to read the text, to see again, to touch and to take with itself a particle of all this. I wish you success with the exhibition, KaliOpi, much success and new challenges.
